And Still We Sing...Song of Hiawatha

The Nathaniel Dett Chorale's next subscription series concert takes place on Friday, May 30 at 8 p.m. at the George Weston Recital Hall, Toronto Centre for the Arts. The program features two works by Afro-British composer Samuel Coleridge-Taylor - Hiawatha's Wedding Feast and Hiawatha's Departure - based on sections of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's Song of Hiawatha. The Chorale will also be premiering a new work, Ah voltige mon amour, by alumnus Charles Demunyk, based on poetry by Haitian-Canadian poet Gérard Étienne.
